Extra details about your book helps to keep the customer interested in the book and could help to persuade them to purchase it.
The Format
The layout of your information fields should be like the following:
- Make sure each heading is in capitals and followed by a colon and a space (eg ISBN: 123456789X).
- Follow each information field with a single carriage return (hit the return key once).
- If you want to paragraph long fields of information, press return twice.
- End your record with the word END in capitals and without a colon.
- Save the record in a text only or ASCII format.
- Send the details to us (see the details below)
The Layout
Please make sure that you include the ISBN of the title and layout your information as below:
- ISBN: (required). If the book has more than one ISBN then add more numbers by repeating this field.
- DESCRIPTION: A description about your book that can be up to 1000 words.
- TOC: Each item of the contents table should be followed by a single return and without any page numbers, bullet points or any other typographic elements.
- PUBCOMMENTS: Any comments by the publisher can be put here. It can be up to 1000 words.
- AUTHCOMMENTS: Author's comments about their book can be entered here. This can be up to 1000 words.
- INSIDEFLAP: The contents of the inside flap of the book. This can be up to 1000 words.
- BACKCOVER: The contents of the back cover of the book. This can be up to 1000 words.
- EXCERPT: This can be up to 1000 words.
- REVIEW: This can be up to 200 words and you can repeat this field up to ten times. Please include who the review was by and the publication name and date, all in parenthesis.
