Author Profile L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) is the author of The Wizard of Oz and more than a dozen other books in the Oz series. About the Illustrator: Greg Hildebrandt (born 1939) together with his twin brother Tom are widely recognized fantasy and comic book illustrators and become particularly well-known for their collaborative work in the 1970's on characters from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Since then, Greg has specialized in children's book illustration. |
