| | Benjamin Zephaniah is a renowned performance poet and broadcaster. Throughout his career, his mission has been to take poetry everywhere, divesting it of its academic image. In 1998 the University of North London awarded him an honorary doctorate in recognition of his work. Zephaniah's previous poetry collections include Talking Turkeys and Funky Chickens and Wicked World (all Puffin). His first book for Frances Lincoln was We Are Britain! Prodeepta Das was born in Cuttack, in eastern India. Currently a freelance photographer and author, his pictures have been published in over 20 children's titles. In 1991 Inside India, which he also wrote, won the Commonwealth Photographers' Award. His previous books for Frances Lincoln are I is for India and Geeta's Day, We Are Britain and Prita Goes to India. |
