|  | | With an Honours degree in Fine Art, his career somehow began as a professional mouth-harp player, touring Europe's festivals and clubs with the Folk Blues band he'd formed at University. That, and lots of music-oriented design and poster work, led him into Art Direction for a multi-national record company where he picked up a handful of British and U.S. design awards. Heading up his own design consultancy he moved into a wider field of Creative Direction, taking on marketing and advertising for national museums and galleries, publishers, tourist boards etc.
Older, if not wiser, he moved into Art and Design education as a Senior Lecturer running a large Graphics department - and along the way - rediscovering his original vocation as a writer and art historian. In recent years he's been closely associated with the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, as Visiting Faculty and External Examiner. He now lives and works in North Norfolk, England.
